PROGRAM
 
The Schrader Lane Childcare center's program is designed to facilitate active learning experiences ina amanner that captures and expands on a child's interests.
 
Our curriculum is bias-free and devemopmentally based, focusing on the individual child's social, emotional, and intellectual needs.
 
OBJECTIVES
 
Days are planned so that children will:
 
-Be Safe
-Feel Secure
-Receive individual attention and affection
-Develop satisfying relationships with other children and adults
-Develop self-discipline
-Experience successes in order to develop a positive self-image
-Learn to respect the personal and property rights of others
-Develop intellectual and physical skills
-To give each child time to grow and blossom from within in a christian environment

THREE-YEAR-OLD CREATIVE CURRICULUM
 
MAJOR GOALS
 
A. To make a smooth transition from the world of babyhood to the existing world of childhood
B. To learn what it means to be part of a group, how to separate from parents, how to take turns, and become independent
C. To build strong self-esteem and nurture inherent curiosity
D. To make school fun but at the same time teach self-discipline
 
 
FOUR-YEAR-OLD CREATIVE CURRICULUM
 
MAJOR GOALS
 
A. To work on the same development tasks as 3-year olds, but at a higher level
B. To approach the world with great curiosity and use their imaginations to understand it
C. To progress in language development
D. To fine tune gross motor and fine motor skills
 
KINDERGARTEN CREATIVE CURRICULUM
 
MAJOR GOALS
 
A. To gain security about who they are and their place int he world
B. To become increasingly independent and self-sufficient
C. To write letters and numbers with increasing accuracy
D. Tolearn new concepts through experimentation and discovery
E. To extend their oral language skills to reading and writing
